Sportsmanship in eSports Scholarship

The first gaming scholarship was handed out in the year 2014 and more are being added year over year to students who have learned to apply the skills they created gaming to other aspects of their lives.

Allstar eSports League Scholarship


The All-Star eSports League is a free high-school league where students can compete to showcase their talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The league is free to join and many high school gamers join each year.

All gamers within the program are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Both their level of skill and their level of sportsmanship will be considered when making a final decision.

Sportsmanship in eSports Scholarship Details

Applications for the Sportsmanship in eSports scholarship are usually due by the first week of November of any given year. There is one scholarship given out each year. The student awarded with the scholarship will earn $2500 toward their higher education. The scholarship is not renewable.

To be eligible for the scholarship, the student must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a high school student
  • Competitive esports gamer in games such as Overwatch, League of Legends, or Teamfight Tactics.

Apply for the Sportsmanship in eSports Scholarship

To apply for the Sportsmanship in eSports Scholarship, you will need to be a candidate who participated in the All-Star eSports League competitive season. Details on how to apply will be on the site when you log in.

You will have needed to show considerable skill and sportsmanship when you competed and will need to apply before the due date. In 2020, the due date in November 2.
