duDudu Emote Origin

According to Twitch, the duDudu emote is used approximately one time per minute. In the gaming community, the song “Sandstorm” by Darude is a bit of a meme. When people ask for the name of a song, people answer with that title regardless of what the asker truly wants. The fact that Twitch has this emote proves that they were created with the gaming community in mind.

The name of the emote is based on the sounds in the song. When viewers are watching countdowns accompanied by music, they will often use this emote. The song at some point became the unofficial theme song of gamers everywhere.

At one point, TSM_TheOddOne was playing a round of League of Legends and the song came up. He was playing a character that had something to do with sand when the song came up and he pointed it out and it became a huge Twitch meme.
