calendar1 Last Updated

Beep Boop Beep Boop…

With so many bots to choose from for your discord server, we recommend not missing out on the neat MEE6 bot that may help with increasing your Twitter engagements! MEE6 is one of the best Discord bots on the market, offering several features including the ability to sync your Twitter account with a channel on your server. This post will show you how:

MEE6 Twitter Alerts Set Up for Discord

The MEE6 bot can automatically link new tweets in your discord. You can choose to share any Twitter account you’d like (including yours) directly into your discord using the MEE6 dashboard

Follow this step by step guide to learn how to set up your MEE6 bot to automatically post a link to new tweets in your discord server.

  1. Step 1

    Go to your Mee6 Dashboard.

  2. Step 2

Log in using your discord account.

  3. Step 3

Authorize MEE6 to access your discord account (click “Authorize”).

  4. Step 4

Select which discord server you’d like to add the MEE6 bot to and hit “Set up MEE6.”

  5. Step 5

When this prompt comes up, click “continue.”

  6. Step 6

    Click “Authorize” once more.

  7. Step 7

    The above screen should appear.

  8. Step 8

    Under “Plugins” click on “Twitter.”

  9. Step 9

When this screen pops up, hit “Yes.”

  10. Step 10

    Click “Connect your Twitter Account.”

  11. Step 11

    Fill out the fields:

    • Enter only the Twitter username (and not the Twitter Account’s URL)
    • Under “Message” you can modify the message content to include any additional links or information, which will send out a server-wide notification. If you don’t wish to alert @everyone with this alert, remove the command from the message.
    • Choose the channel you’d like to post the alert in from the dropdown menu:

All done! Now every time your chosen Twitter account posts a new tweet, your discord server will be notified!

Important notice: If you’re using the free version of the MEE6 bot, you’ll notice you only have the ability to add one Twitter account at a time, however there is a MEE6 Premium version, which unlocks a bunch of other functions (such as linking more than one Twitter account), so check it out if you’re interested!

Reasons to Post Tweets to Your Discord Server

So you’ve read exactly how to add the MEE6 bot to your Discord server, but you may be wondering why would you integrate your favorite Twitter accounts with it?

Here are some potential reasons to post tweets to your discord server:

  1. Multi-Platform Benefits

One of the best ways to attract more people to join your discord server and eventually become viewers and supporters of your stream is to integrate as many social assets as you can. Combining your Discord server with your Twitter account is a wonderful way to do just that.

  2. Automatic Go-Lives on Discord

Don’t worry about neglecting to post your Live notification in your discord server – When you add the MEE6 bot, it will automatically post your “going live” tweet into your discord server! (Btw, if you haven’t done so already, make sure your Streamlabs account is connected to your Twitter account for an automatic “Going Live” notification, so you don’t have to worry about anything after hitting that “Go Live” button!).

  3. Share Announcements

You can share announcements, game specific news, or any important updates with the MEE6 bot directly from your Twitter account!

These and so many more reasons make the MEE6 bot a great tool to have in your streaming kit, so have fun with it!
