Join Your Friends on Twitch
When your friends come online, they will appear on the left sidebar under “Online Friends.”
The steam they are watching will populate under their name. If you hover over their name, you will be given the option to join them in the channel they’re viewing.
You can also check your friend list by clicking your avatar in the top right of the screen and selecting the “Friends” tab. You can browse all your friends and their activities.
How to Appear Offline on Twitch
If you don’t want your friends to know what you are watching, do the following:

Click your avatar on the top right of the screen.

At the very top of the drop-down menu, you will be given the option to either appear online or offline. You can also hide your activity. Toggle that to protect what you’re doing.
How to Unfriend Someone on Twitch
If you want to unfriend someone on Twitch, follow these steps:

Go to your friend list by selecting your avatar then finding the “Friends” tab.

Hover over the name of the friend you want to remove.

A green “Friends” button will appear in the top left hand of the icon. Move your mouse over it, and it will become a red “Unfriend” button. Click it.
How to Block Someone on Twitch
If someone sends you a spam message or is harassing you in chat, you can block them.
Through the whisper chat, select their message, then the cog on the message. The option to block them will appear. Click that, then confirm on the pop-up box that appears. Once you hit the second “block” button, their message will disappear from your message box.
From the chatbox, click on the name of the person you want to block. A box will appear with several options. Click the “three-dot” icon on the right of it, then block them from that option. Their messages will no longer appear for you unless you are a moderator on the channel.
You can also type /block username to block someone.
Unblock them by typing /unblock username.
